Companies are looking to improve communication and collaboration and reduce costs.
According to a 2007 Harris survey:
- IWs on average get >90 messages per day in as many as seven different places
- Roughly half of large enterprises have technologies and policies for travel cost reduction (e.g. audio/video conferencing, UC), and other one-quarter are planning to adopt in the next 12 months
